Ella Lopez Will Discover Lucifer Is The Devil In Season 5: Episode 3 – Here’s How

Lucifer-Season-5-Ella-Lopez

Lucifer Season 5 is fast-approaching – it should be with us sometime in mid-2020 – and there are lots of rumours circling the Internet about what could happen in the final season. So, I thought this would be a good time for me to come up with my own theory, and mine has to do with Ella Lopez (played by Aimee Garcia).

Some of you may know that Ella still doesn’t know that Lucifer really is the Devil. He’s told her this plenty of times, but she thinks he’s talking metaphorically, which is understandable.

Imagine how you’d react if someone told you they were the Devil incarnate? Of course you’d think they were pulling your leg or saying they think they’re a terrible person. That’s the natural and logical reaction to that sort of statement.

However, we know that at some point in Lucifer Season 5, Ella will find out the truth about Lucifer, but we don’t know when and we don’t know how.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot of late because Aimee Garcia was chatting to CinemaBlend about why Ella still doesn’t know that Lucifer is really the Devil.

Here’s what she said about the whole matter:

You know, people ask me that a lot. And, I love that she doesn’t know because she can say things like, ‘Oh, that’s right you’re the devil. A.k.a. method actor.’ So, I don’t want to take that fun away from her, especially now that Chloe knows. I love when he’s like, ‘You know, my dad, God.’ And Ella can be like, ‘Oh right, your dad, God.’

So, she’s kind of teasing in that response. She’s making it sound as if Ella won’t find out, but I’m convinced she will, and it all has to do with the title of Lucifer Season 5 Episode 3.

That particular episode we know is called ¡Diablo! and this suggests to me pretty clearly that it’ll be the episode where Ella Lopez discovered Lucifer is the Devil.

First off, Ella is from a Hispanic neighbourhood in Detroit and speaks Spanish fluently, and it’s the reaction she would have when she finds out who Lucifer.

Ella should get over the shock of finding out the truth about Lucifer

She’s actually one of the only main characters in the show who’s Hispanic (along with Detective Dan), so it’s natural to assume that the episode will be about her reaction to discovering that Lucifer is really the Devil, or El Diablo.

It’s also nice to think that she will find out pretty early on in the season because then it means there’s enough time for Ella to get over the shock and accept Lucifer for who he really is.
