Outer Banks Season 3 Netflix Release Date Revealed

outer-banks-season-3-release-date on Netflix Revealed

Outer Banks Season 2 has been doing huge numbers on Netflix, and we’ve been trying to figure out when Outer Banks Season 3’s release date could be on the streaming platform.

It seems as though we might have an answer to share with you.

We have reached out to our sources with close ties to Netflix about when Outer Banks Season 3 might be released.

We’ve been sending emails left, right and centre.

To PRs, agents, publicists, crew members, directors, producers…

We’ve even contacted Netflix representatives directly about Outer Banks Season 3, and all they said was:

We have no information to share on Outer Banks S3.

Well, I wasn’t going to let that stop me, and finally, I got an answer, of sorts…

A contact with very close ties to the production had this to say on Outer Banks Season 3:

We’re finishing up the scripts for Seasons 3 and 4. Season 3 should start filming this year and be out towards the middle of 2022 – if all goes to plan.

Now, understandably, the contact wished to remain anonymous, but they gave us quite a bit of information in that quote (they agreed to me quoting them directly).

The first bit of information there, which could be an article in itself – is that they are already writing scripts for Season 4!

That doesn’t mean that Season 4 is happening.

Netflix tends to get writers of their most popular shows to work on scripts for future seasons before they’re officially greenlit.

However, it’s a very good sign.

The other bit of information we got from that quote is that Season 3 should be out “towards the middle of 2022”.

Now, many of you will be looking at this thinking that it is the middle of 2022.

So, full disclosure, this article was published a while back and it seems as though production on Season 3 has taken a little bit longer than expected.

During a recent interview with Outer Banks star Cullen Moss, we asked for some details on what’s going on with Season 3.

This was when Cullen revealed that Season 3 is still filming, but it sounded as though they might be coming close to the end.

We’re shooting Season 3 right now. I’ve gone in and shot a little bit. We’ve got to reconvene and reunite. The gang’s back in town. So that’s back underway.

It seems as though the series was delayed quite a bit due to COVID-19.

This means that Season 3 might not be released until late 2022, maybe early 2023.

So, we’ve still got some time to wait before we get to watch the show’s third season. If you want to keep up with what’s happening, check out some of these influencers for Outer Banks.

Well, I’m 68 and recently checked out Outer Banks. I was immediately taken by the dialogue. I really enjoy how they talk to each other. I’m in the second half of season 2 and was just thinking today of the void in my life that’s coming when I finish the season. This is good news!
