Hit And Run Season 2: Netflix Release Date, Cast & Story

Hit And Run on Netflix has been proving to be a huge hit and now people are starting to wonder whether there will be a Season 2.

If so, when could it be released?

What would the story be about and who might star in the second season?

Well, these are all questions I am going to try to answer for you, however, you might not be too happy with the answers.

I’m merely warning you because nothing’s been confirmed as of yet, which isn’t unusual for Netflix.

They don’t tend to confirm whether another season of a show is coming or not until the very last possible second.

That said, I have reached out to representatives at Netflix asking them to confirm whether Hit And Run Season 2 is in the pipeline or not.

I will update you if I get a reply on that.

However, for the time being, I have yet to receive any new information about the second season of this Israeli-American show.

Right, before I continue with this article, I’d like to warn people who haven’t watched the show yet that there will be SPOILERS for Hit And Run Season 1 in this article.

OK, so you’ve been warned.

Here’s the official plot synopsis for Hit And Run Season 1 (courtesy of Netflix):

In this new action thriller, a happily married man’s life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a mysterious hit and run accident in Tel Aviv. Grief-stricken and confused, he searches for his wife’s killers, who have fled to the U.S. With the help of an ex-lover, (Sanaa Lathan), he uncovers disturbing truths about his beloved wife and the secrets she kept from him.

So, as I mentioned, Season 2 of the show hasn’t been announced yet.

However, given the show’s already impressive numbers, I am pretty certain that it will be renewed.

Also, given the show’s cliffhanger ending, I think Netflix always intended to make more seasons of this show.

As for the show’s cast, well, it’ll pretty much be the same as Season 1.

Lior Raz, Lior Ashkenazi and Sanaa Lathan would all be back for a Hit And Run Season 2.

I am also sure that Kaelen Ohm, Moran Rosenblatt, Gregg Henry and Gal Toren will all be back also.

Now we’re getting onto the really tricky questions to answer.

What could Season 2 be about? What might happen in a second season?

Well, your guess is as good as mine.

What I am pretty sure will happen is that Segev will get the answers he’s seeking.

I also think that he won’t like what he discovers.

There were still a whole load of storylines that weren’t wrapped up by the series one finale.

Segev discovered his wife was a CIA agent who had found out crucial information from an Israeli intelligence agent that she was having an affair with so she could get further access to such details.

This in turn led to her death as her identity had been discovered by the people she was investigating.

In the season finale, things got even worse for Segev when he got an upsetting phone call.

He was told that not only had his ex-wife been killed, but his daughter had also gone missing.

Finally, the question that is really difficult to answer.

When could Hit And Run Season 2’s release date on Netflix be?

Well, it all depends on the pandemic, and also maybe political factors also.

We’re just going to have to wait and see what happens.

However, I do know that Netflix would love to get a second season out as soon as possible.

They tend to like having no more than a year between seasons of a popular show.

Now, the pandemic has thrown the streaming platform through something of a loop.

There are huge backlogs now and it means that we might have to wait longer for new seasons of our favourite shows.

This is also made worse by new COVID-19 precaution measures that they have to have on set.

It just slows the whole process down.

Anyway, with a whole load of loose ends after Season 1, it does seem likely that Hit And Run will return.

What do you make of this news?

Are you hopeful that Netflix will greenlight Hit And Run Season 2?

Or, do you think this might be yet another popular Netflix show that they end up cancelling too soon?
