It’s been revealed to us sources close to Disney that Marvel is now planning on releasing films exclusively on Disney Plus.

This news comes after it was revealed that Marvel Studios had promoted Brad Winderbaum.

He is now the Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation at Marvel Studios.

There have been a few people questioning whether this could mean that Kevin Feige is planning his exit from Marvel.

Well, it seems to be very much the opposite.

Our source explained that this was more to do with Marvel expanding and also Feige delegating tasks to someone he trusts.

This was explained in a previous article we published which you can read here.

You can also watch the video we posted on this subject here.

Right, onto what our source had to say about the future of Disney Plus and Marvel.

The Brad [Winderbaum] thing I thought was announced ages ago. I must have been wrong.

Anyway, it’s going to be interesting for Marvel moving forward.

Brad is now in charge of all things streaming related in the MCU – TV shows, both animated and live-action.

I’ve actually been hearing that they might be planning on making some feature-length Marvel projects for Disney Plus, both live-action and animated.

It seems Marvel has been discussing and doing the groundwork to release both live-action and animated feature films on Disney Plus.

This could be really great for fans, as we get the best of both worlds.

Theatre premieres and live-action films set in the MCU exclusively on Disney Plus.

This brings a whole new set of questions:

Will we still get these MCU mini-series if they decide to exclusively produce feature films for Disney Plus?

Will they charge a premium fee like they did with Black Widow? (I’m pretty sure they will).

Will this be a part of Phase 4 or Phase 5?

We’ll keep you updated on this development as we hear more.

You should worry about Kevin Feige leaving Marvel Studios… just yet…

So, in conclusion, if you were all worried that this meant that Feige was on his way out, stop worrying!

All this is, is Feige being smart and delegating duties to people he trusts.

This is a good thing and we should be excited about what’s to come from Marvel Studios – both the movies and on the streaming side of things.
