Marvel Studios’ Comic-Con panel came and went and there was no official casting announcement for the MCU’s Fantastic Four film.

We have been hearing so many rumours about who’s been cast in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.

Many people have been assuming that the movie would star John Krasinski after he appeared as Reed Richards in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

However, it was then rumoured that Marvel Studios might actually be looking to cast younger actors in the movie.

Then Jon Watts left the project, and the whole thing’s been in a state of limbo ever since.

Well, many people were expecting a Fantastic Four cast announcement at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.

The Marvel Hall H panel came and went and no Fantastic Four cast announcement from President, Kevin Feige.

I did notice that the majority of people were pretty much blown away by the Marvel Comic-Con panel.

They actually did announce a lot more than I expected them to.

However, I was expecting a ‘one last thing’, and I thought it would be either a Fantastic Four cast announcement or a Deadpool 3 release date announcement.

We got neither of those things, but what we did get was confirmation that Fantastic Four will be Phase 6’s first movie.

It’ll be released on November 8, 2024, and that’s not really too far off.

They still have announced the movie’s director, but I have a sneaky suspicion that Peyton Reed will get the gig.

As for why Jon Watts left, we did reveal in an exclusive article why he opted to call it quits on the Fantastic Four movie project.

According to our sources, Watts and Marvel’s visions for the movie just didn’t align.

Watts wanted to make an origins story and cast a very young cast.

Marvel and specifically Kevin Feige, weren’t too keen on this idea and wanted to have an already established Fantastic Four team.

They also wanted to cast more established actors to play the parts of Marvel’s first family.

It looks like all these things are still being worked out.

I’m expecting some sort of Fantastic Four cast announcement at D23.

I also think they’re going to announce the movie’s new director at the upcoming Disney-centric event.
