Nicolas Cage In Talks For Ghost Rider In Secret Wars

It’s being reported that Nicolas Cage is currently in talks to play Ghost Rider in the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars, which would be great! This report comes to us from Giant Freakin Robot, and I have to say that this is very exciting news! I’ve long been a huge fan of the actor, and I actually think he was a pretty good Johnny Blaze.

Cage starred as Ghost Rider in two movies: Ghost Rider and Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengence. The movies weren’t amazing, but I really do like the casting. I think that Nic is the only man mad enough to play Johnny Blaze – aka Ghost Rider. He’s genuinely insane, and that really came across in the movies.

It’s been long rumoured that the Face/Off actor might be returning as Ghost Rider in the MCU. I remember before Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness was released, there were some rumours suggesting that Cage might be turning up in the movie as his version of Ghost Rider. That would have been brilliant, but it didn’t happen. Instead, we saw John Krasinski play Reed Richards in the movie. We also saw Patrick Stewart play a version of Professor X in the movie. It was a pretty incredible moment and one that will go down in Hollywood history.

It now seems as though this Avengers: Secret Wars is going to feature many of the former Marvel movie actors such as Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart and now Nic Cage. We’ve even heard rumours that this upcoming Avengers movie is going to feature Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Wolverine’s already been name-dropped in the She-Hulk series that’s currently airing on Disney Plus.

As far as the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is concerned, it does seem as though Phases 5 and 6 are really going to change things up. We’ve already heard that the upcoming Avengers movie, which is called Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, is going to be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Cretton directed Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings. He’s also going to be working on the Wonder Man series for Disney Plus.

It’s going to be a very interesting time for us Marvel Cinematic Universe fans. I think we’re going to be seeing some crazy stuff in the upcoming MCU movies. There are so many rumours out there at the moment that it can be hard to think what’s real and what’s just been made up by some ‘scoopers’ trying to get a cheap and easy click. That is why I try to be very careful about which rumours we highlight here on Small Screen.

I know that Giant Freakin Robot’s track record isn’t the best. However, I have heard this same rumour in the past from other outlets, and there is something called safety in numbers. I also have it on good authority that The Rock actor has been in talks with Marvel for a role in the MCU.

It’s also being reported that there might be multiple versions of Ghost Rider in the movie. GFR has heard that Johnny Blaze could be played by Cage, Norman Reedus could be playing Danny Ketch, and Gabriel Luna could be playing his version of Robbie Reyes in Avengers: Secret Wars.
