The new Black Adam trailer has been released, and some eagle-eyed DC Comics fans have spotted that the trailer features a pretty interesting Justice League easter egg. You can check out the new trailer via the YouTube video below.

This new trailer is pretty darn good. I must admit that up until this point, I really wasn’t all that excited about this upcoming Black Adam movie. However, after this second official trailer, I am much more optimistic about this film’s chances of actually being a good time at the cinema. Before now, I just felt like it was going to be yet another pretty average Dwayne Johnson action movie. There have been a lot of them of late.

Has the Black Adam trailer confirmed Zack Snyder’s Justice League is canon?

However, the thing that really intrigued me about the trailer was that it gave us a little Justice League easter egg, which I wasn’t really expecting. The moment comes when we see Amanda Waller on-screen who’s talking to Hawkman. You can make out the words “Justice League” on the screen, and that is a direct reference to the other big superhero team in the DCEU. Now, does this mean that Waller has also tried to contact the Justice League to try and help with this Black Adam problem? Possibly.

We are not going to enter some theory territory. I think that Waller contacted Ben Affleck’s Batman and the rest of the Justice League before contacting the Justice Society Of America to help deal with the threat that Dwayne Johnson’s anti-hero poses. He’s just woken up after being asleep for 5,000 years. That’s a long time to be asleep, and it seems as though he’s out for revenge.

What should we expect from this new DC Comics movie?

Now, one thing I’ve been thinking about this movie is whether it could feature Henry Cavill’s Superman or not. It would make sense for him to turn up at some point to either stop Black Adam or help him. We’ve already been informed that the movie’s main villain is going to be Sabbac and not Black Adam himself. He will start off as the bad guy, but he and the Justice Society Of America will have to work together to fight an even bigger threat.

I think that they might not be strong enough, even together, to beat Sabbac, and that could be when Ben Affleck’s Batman and Henry Cavill’s Superman end up turning up. Now, something tells me that this might not happen. I’m also pretty certain that Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman will not be turning up in this movie. The most logical person to turn up would be Superman. But, we might still have to wait a while before we get to see Henry Cavill don the famous cape again.
