Elizabeth Olsen has revealed that she expects to return as Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Olsen revealed this during an interview with Variety.

Now, before I continue with this article, I must warn you that there are SPOILERS for Doctor Strange 2 in this article.

OK, now that we’ve got that out of the way, we can talk freely about what happens to Olsen’s Scarlet Witch at the end of the movie.

The truth is, that is all left in limbo.

It does look like the Scarlet Witch – aka Wanda Maximoff – has sacrificed herself to destroy the Darkhold.

However, she could very easily (and probably) be still alive.

Is Elizabeth Olsen returning as Scarlet Witch in the MCU after Doctor Strange 2?

Here’s what Olsen said when she was asked whether Scarlet Witch would return after Doctor Strange 2:

It’s weird that I’m expecting to return but no one’s told me I’m doing anything. But in my mind, I’m just making the assumption that they’ll have me again. I don’t know to what capacity, but I hope I’m back. I hope there’s also more fun to be had in something different. Where do we go? I feel like we’ve done so much with her. It’s been really a wild couple years with her.

It would be very strange not to see Olsen’s Scarlet Witch in the MCU again.

She also signed a very lucrative deal with the studio a few months back, so I’m assuming that we’re going to be seeing quite a bit of the character moving forward.
