Elizabeth Olsen Teases Scarlet Witch’s Appearance In Spider-Man 3

Have Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Holland teased a possible Scarlet Witch and Spider-Man team-up in Spider-Man 3? Sounds like they might have just done that very thing.

Back in 2018, before WandaVision was officially announced and also before Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame were released, Olsen revealed she “want[s] to play” with Spider-Man. They then turned up together in all those movies, but they only ever briefly crossed paths in all those films.

“I kind of want to play with Spider-Man. He’s cute,” Olsen said when asked which Marvel character she’d like Wanda Maximoff to crossover with in the MCU at ACE Comic Con in June 2018. “He’s really funny, I think Holland’s killing it. I think he’s so, so funny.”

Then WandaVision was announced and Holland picked the Marvel Studios series as the Marvel property he’d love to join as Spider-Man:

“I think the WandaVision show looks really cool. I don’t really know what it’s about and it looks very stylistic, it almost looks like a bit of a sitcom with the way they’ve shot it. I don’t really understand what is going on but it looks really cool,” Holland told MTV back in February 2020.

“Paul and Elizabeth are like two of the nicest people I know and I would love to work with them some more and get to know them a little bit better.”

Holland then added: “So if I could put Spider-Man in the WandaVision show, that’d be great, Kevin Feige. So if you want to do that, you know my number.”

OK, so fast-forward to 2021 and Olsen was speaking to Capital FM over here in the UK. During this interview, Olsen was asked whether Wanda Maximoff would be joining Spider-Man 3, which is rumoured to have a very large cast with current and post-Marvel actors turning up thanks to the Multiverse being unleashed onto the MCU.

Olsen revealed: “I assume you might [see Wanda in Spider-Man 3] if everyone’s in it, but I haven’t showed up to that party yet.”

We already know that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange will be in Spider-Man 3, and we also know that Elizabeth Olsen will be playing Wanda in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, so it’s safe to assume that Wanda will also be in Spider-Man 3.
