Willem Dafoe And Dane DeHaan Reportedly Also In Talks To Return For Spider-Man 3

It’s now being rumoured that Willem Dafoe and Dane DeHann could be returning to their Marvel roles for Spider-Man 3. This rumour comes from Daniel Richtman who’s now claiming that his sources have informed him that both actors are in talks to return.

The more I hear about this movie, the more bonkers it sounds. We first heard that Jamie Foxx would be returning as Electro. We then heard that Alfred Molina was returning. Yesterday, it was reported that Andrew Garfield, Kirsten Dunst, Charlie Cox and possibly Emma Stone were all returning for Spider-Man 3.

It’s also being rumoured that Tobey Maguire is also coming back to play Spider-Man. We’re now hearing that Willem Dafoe and Dane DeHaan are in talks to return as their versions of the Green Goblin.

This really does sound absolutely bonkers to me, and it’s no wonder that Spider-Man fans are both excited and confused by all this news. Some fans have even demanded that Marvel Studios make a solo Tom Holland Spider-Man movie rather than what Spider-Man 3 is starting to sound like.

It now really sounds as if Spider-Man 3 will be a Spider-Verse film – or an Avengers type movie, just with Spider-Man characters from the present and past. It’s a lot to take in, and I’m not sure whether this movie will be able to fit it all in.

Then again, I’m not at Marvel. I’m not a writer, and I’m not the one tasked with the almost impossible job of trying to get all these characters into one movie. It’s no wonder that Spider-Man 3 is reportedly going to be the longest Spider-Man film to date. I’m thinking it’s going to be the longest movie ever made, period.
