It’s being reported that Kirsten Dunst will be returning to play Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming Spider-Man 3 movie. This news was revealed by Collider’s Jeff Sneider.
This is starting to become slightly crazy. The number of actors in this upcoming Spider-Man 3 is just pure madness. Let’s go through the list of actors who are basically confirmed as being in the movie.
We start off with the main cast: Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, and Tony Revolori. Then you have to additional cast which includes the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina. We’re now hearing that Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Kirsten Dunst will all also be in the movie.

We’ve heard that Jamie Foxx will be returning to play Electro and Alfred Molina will be playing Doc Ock again. They are both supposedly playing the same characters they played in previous Spider-Man movies, exactly the same.
We’re now hearing that Kirsten Dunst will also be back to play her version of Mary Jane Watson, so it really does sound like this movie will explore the Spider-Verse. If not the Spider-Verse, then maybe the Multiverse, which will then be explored further in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.
Interestingly enough, that movie is being directed by Sam Raimi, who directed the three Spider-Man movies that Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst starred in. It’s all going back to the beginning.
