Spider-Man 3 Will Reportedly Be The Longest Spider-Man Movie Ever

It’s being reported that the upcoming Spider-Man 3 movie will be the longest Spider-Man movie ever made. This report comes to us from Mikey Sutton over at Geekosity, and his scoops tend to be bang on the money.

This upcoming Spider-Man movie sounds like it’s going to be completely and utterly bonkers. We were first told that it was going to feature Benedict Cuberbatch as Doctor Strange. We were then told that Jamie Foxx will be playing Electro in the movie. He, of course, played the role before in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and it wasn’t that great.

We’ve now been hearing rumours of the likes of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire returning to play their respective versions of Spider-Man. There are also rumours that Alfred Molina could be returning as Doc Ock, which would be interesting (Update – he has officially been cast in Spider-Man 3). So, it’s no wonder that this movie is going to end up being the longest Spider-Man movie ever made.

Here’s what Mikey Sutton had to say about Spider-Man 3 being the longest Spider-Man movie ever made:

Insiders inform me that Garfield and Maguire could appear again beyond this movie, expected to be the longest of the Spider-Man films. Maguire’s final bow as Spider-Man is still planned; as I reported before they wanted an Endgame-esque finale for him.

It’s interesting to see that it seems as though Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man might end up sacrificing himself in the movie. It might be a story arch that Tobey’s really in to, as it’s already been said he wants to do a bit more acting should he return to the role.
