WARNING: Before you continue reading this article, I must warn you that SPOILERS for Doctor Strange 2 are coming up!
Right, now that we got all that out of the way and the people who haven’t watched Doctor Strange 2 yet for some reason are gone, we can carry on talking about the latest MCU movie.
So, after watching the movie, you would have all realised that Deadpool was not in the movie, despite all the claims from scoopers that he would be.
Ryan Reynolds himself revealed that he wasn’t going to be in the movie, and he wasn’t lying.
Some fans thought they could see Reynolds’ Deadpool in one of the shards of glass in Doctor Strange 2’s poster.
Marvel did think about bringing Deadpool into Doctor Strange 2
However, according to writer Michael Waldron, they did talk about bringing Deadpool into the movie.
Here’s what Waldron had to say when he asked about Deadpool being in Doctor Strange 2 during an interview with ComicBook.com:
Yeah, we talked about it. I think we talked about everything in this movie. So, [it] would’ve been crazy to not raise that, but it ultimately didn’t feel like… It just didn’t feel the right place. But yeah, of course, we talked about it.
It would have been great to get to see Reynolds’ Deadpool in the movie.
However, it might have been one cameo too much for the movie if you tried to fit Deadpool in there as well.
