Amber Heard Said To Have Been Cut Out Of Aquaman 2

It’s being reported that Amber Heard might have been cut out of Aquaman 2 (Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom), which is an interesting new development.

This report comes via scooper KC Walsh on Twitter.

The report comes after Amber Heard was found guilty of having defamed her ex-husband in an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post.

There had been reports previously that Heard was in danger of losing her role as Mera in the movie.

We were actually informed that Warner Bros. Pictures was seriously considering replacing Heard with Emilia Clarke in the movie.

However, they opted not to recast the role and stick with Heard, but just diminish her role significantly.

During the Johnny Depp trial, Amber Heard said that she was only going to be in about 10 minutes of the movie.

DC Films President, Walter Hamada, then revealed that they did consider recasting the role at some point.

However, he added that they never actively auditioned actors for the role.

That said, as stated above, we were informed that execs inside of Warner Bros were very keen on getting Clarke to play the role.

According to Hamada, the reason they wanted to recast Heard was because she lacked any chemistry with the movie’s lead, Jason Momoa.

It seems as though Amber Heard’s recent issues in court might have been the final straw for the Warner Bros executives.

Sounds as though they’ve opted to just cut her out of the movie entirely.

It would be a pretty extreme action to take on Warner Bros’ behalf.

However, other Hollywood producers have already stated that Heard’s career is basically over after the verdict in Virginia.

It’s going to be very, very difficult for Amber Heard to come back from this.

Some have even argued that her career’s already starting to suffer.

I bought Aquaman on DVD and gave it away after not watching it because of Heard. For a gay man to not watch Momoa costumed as he was hat says a lot.

Have your say...
