Stranger Things’ Duffer Brothers In Talks For MCU Ghost Rider Series

It’s being reported that Stranger Things creators, The Duffer Brothers, are reportedly in talks to helm a Ghost Rider series set in the MCU.

This report comes to us from Giant Freakin Robot.

According to the outlet, Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige are currently in talks with Stranger Things creators, The Duffer Brothers, for a new Ghost Rider project set in the MCU.

They don’t state whether this Ghost Rider project will be a movie or a TV show.

My inkling is that this project will end up being a series rather than a movie.

Ghost Rider would fit a series and I think that The Duffer Brothers might like the format for storytelling.

We have seen a number of versions of the Ghost Rider character in live-action.

There has been the Agents Of SHIELD version of the character, played by Gabriel Luna.

Before that, we had the movie version of the character, played by Nicolas Cage.

There were two Ghost Rider movies and people have been hoping to see Cage’s version of the character turn up in the MCU movies.

There have also been rumours that Marvel Studios was looking at potentially casting Norman Reedus as Ghost Rider in a new series.

Other names tied to the role have included Johnny Depp and Luna potentially reprising the role after playing Ghost Rider in Agents Of SHIELD.
