It’s being reported that Captain America 4 (Captain America: New World Order) is going to feature the introduction of the X-Men to the MCU! This is pretty huge news because we’ve all been wondering when the X-Men were going to be brought into the MCU.

When Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, one of the first questions that Marvel movie fans had was, what does this mean for the X-Men in the MCU? Could it actually happen? Could they finally be part of the MCU?

20th Century Fox had the movie rights to the X-Men, and they had made a bunch of movies using the iconic comic book property. It has to be said that these movies were a bit of a mixed bag. Some of the films were pretty good, and others were just terrible.

The likes of X-Men, X2, First Class, and Days Of Future Past were pretty good. We also got Logan, which is technically an X-Men movie. That film is still easily one of the best comic book movies ever made.

However, we’ve also had some awful X-Men movies. The likes of The Last Stand, Apocalypse and X-Men Origins: Wolverine were really bad films.

Then there were the OK films, such as The Wolverine and Dark Pheonix. I’m still not entirely sure what to make of Dark Phoenix. I didn’t much care for it when it was released. However, there are some people I know who claim that it’s not as bad as I remember it being.

Another X-Men-related movie that 20th Century Fox made was The New Mutants. I’ve heard that it wasn’t very good. However, I’ve still not watched it, so I can’t really say whether it’s good or bad.

Anyway, as you can tell, 20th Century Fox made a lot of X-Men movies, and there were a lot of bad ones on that list. This is why Marvel and X-Men fans have been really looking forward to seeing what Marvel Studios could do with the property now that they have the movie rights back.

We’ve been wondering for a long time when Marvel Studios would bring them into the MCU, and it seems as though it’s going to be in Captain America: New World Order. According to Jeff Sneider of The Hot Mic Podcast, the upcoming Marvel Studios movie is going to have, as he put it, “ties to the X-Men”.

We then reached out to some sources of our own, and they stated that this was indeed the case. The movie will tee up the X-Men in the MCU. However, it seems as though it’ll be just a tease and nothing as big as the likes of Professor Xavier turning up in the film.

It’ll be interesting to see how Marvel Studios handles the X-Men. They are also working on Deadpool 3 with Ryan Reynolds. The Deadpool character has a lot of ties to the X-Men, and we’ve already learned that the film will star Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, so that’s a pretty big X-Men link right there.

This upcoming Deadpool film will be ‘technically’ set in the MCU, so it’ll be fascinating to see how they deal with all of that moving forward.
