Wesley Snipes To Return As Blade In Secret Wars

Wesley Snipes is reportedly about to be returning as Blade in Avengers: Secret Wars. This report comes to us from Giant Freakin Robot, and I have to say that it would be great to see Snipes back in the role! However, I’m really not so sure this will actually happen. It had already been reported that Snipes’ Blade was going to be returning in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, and that didn’t happen.

It was being reported at the time that his version of Blade was going to be part of the Illuminati, which would have made a lot of sense. There was also the silhouette of a man with a sword on his back in the movie’s trailers. Well, that turned out to be Chiwetel Ejiofor Karl Mordo. I actually loved Karl Mordo’s involvement in the movie and felt that he and Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange had some great scenes together. However, I can’t lie. I was really hoping that Blade was going to be in the movie.

Honestly, there are so many rumours at the moment about which actors and characters we’re going to get to see in Avengers: Secret Wars. We’ve heard reports of the likes of Ian McKellen coming back as Magneto, Nicolas Cage returning as his version of Ghost Rider and it just seems as though the list of cameos in this movie is going to be endless. It feels like it’s almost just going to be a movie made up entirely of cameos from big-name stars.

I’ve even heard that Patrick Stewart might be making an appearance in the movie as Professor X. However, the next Marvel movie he seems to be is Deadpool 3. I would love to see all of these actors return, but I’m also a bit worried that all these cameos might get in the way of the movie’s story. I don’t know. Maybe I’m thinking about it all a bit too much. It’s always great fun to see these cameos in superhero films.

I loved seeing the likes of Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Patrick Stewart return to roles they played in the past. I also loved seeing John Krasinski as Mr Fantastic, Lashana Lynch as Captain Marvel, Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Hayley Atwell as Captain Carter and Charlize Theron as Clea in Doctor Strange 2. However, my favourite cameo in that movie was Bruce Campbell as Pizza Poppa.

We’re just going to have to wait and see what Marvel’s plans for Secret Wars are. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be huge. This is why we’re hearing all of these rumours about such big-name actors turning up in the movie. Marvel wants it to be bigger than anything that’s come before it, and I’m all for that. Imagine a movie which can boast the following cast: Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Nicolas Cage, Wesley Snipes, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. That would be epic, and they would all be cameos. That would be insane!
