It’s being reported that Ghost Rider could be debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in Doctor Strange 3, which would make a lot of sense. There have been a lot of reports over the years suggesting that the iconic Marvel Comics character is coming to the MCU.

I’ve seen reports suggesting that Johnny Blaze could be introduced in one of the upcoming Disney Plus Marvel Studios TV shows. I’ve seen a lot of reports claiming that the character could be introduced to the MCU in the upcoming Daredevil series: Daredevil: Born Again.

That series is going to see Charlie Cox play Matt Murdock again. He last played the character in She-Hulk, and before that, we saw him play the character in Spider-Man: No Way Home. There have also been reports that Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle could also be coming back to the MCU in that series.

We might actually have more news on that front relatively soon, but I won’t spoil that story just yet! All I’ll say is watch this space if you’re interested in knowing more about The Punisher’s return to the MCU.

Johnny Blaze was first played in live-action by Nicolas Cage. He played the character in films Ghost Rider (2007) and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011). Johnny Blaze was also played by Tom McComas in the fourth season of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2017).

However, recent rumours have suggested that The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus is being eyed to play the role of Johnny Blaze in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That hasn’t been confirmed as of yet, but Norman has expressed his desire to play the role in live-action.

Other actors that have been attached to the role in the past have included the likes of Adam Driver and Johnny Depp. Kevin Feige actually revealed that he would love to see Ryan Gosling play the role. That would be pretty cool!

So, we’re now hearing from Mikey Sutton over at Geekosity that Marvel Studios is planning on introducing the character to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Doctor Strange 3.

It seems as though the Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to really start exploring the supernatural. We already know that the likes of Blade and Werewolf By Night are coming to the MCU.

Werewolf By Night was introduced recently in its own Marvel special on Disney Plus. It’s pretty likely that that character will play an important part in the future of the MCU. I’m hoping that Johnny Blaze will also play a key part in the MCU moving forward.

We’re just going to have to wait and see what ends up happening with the character. That said, as a fan of Marvel Comics’ more supernatural characters, I’m really looking forward to seeing them be brought into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, finally!
