Doctor Strange 2 (a.k.a. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness) has almost finished filming and Elizabeth Olsen has talked about the film’s horror vibes.
This was revealed by Elizabeth Olsen in a recent interview with Glamour.
Here’s what Olsen had to say about Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness’ horror vibes:
It’s a bonkers movie, they’re definitely going for that horror show vibe.
Interestingly enough, one of the supposed reasons that Scott Derrickson left the project was because he wanted to make more of a horror movie.
However, the fact that Marvel then went and brought in Sam Raimi – the King of horror – seemed to indicate that this Doctor Strange sequel was still going to be horror-inspired.
Doctor Strange 2 will be a bit like a horror series
It does seem as though this upcoming movie is going to be much scarier than all the other Marvel movies put together.
Honestly, the Marvel films up until this point haven’t been very scary at all.
Bringing horror into the MCU is a really good idea.
There have been a bunch of other genres explored in the MCU already.
There have been heist movies, space operas, thrillers, spy films…
It seems as though we’re going to get to see Marvel make their version of a horror film.
Elizabeth Olsen will be pretty scary in Doctor Strange 2
Elizabeth Olsen is going to be returning as Wanda Maximoff in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.
However, given what happened in WandaVision, it does look like she might one of the scariest characters in the film.
She is now the Scarlet Witch and the end of the very first MCU series really gave us a taste of what to expect in Doctor Strange 2.
I, for one, cannot wait to see how it all unfolds in the upcoming movie.
