MCU’s Deadpool 3 will see the return of one X-Force team member: Peter. With all the team members who sacrificed their lives in the film, it’s the one very normal non-mutant person who is coming back.

Each announcement of cast returns is something to get excited about, especially with Deadpool 3. While the 20th Century Marvel franchises X-Men and Fantastic Four are presumed dead, it seems that Deadpool has that ray of hope that we’ll see them move to a new universe.

For one thing, Deadpool is the only Fox-Marvel franchise that successfully moves from one studio to another. And there is a high chance that it will even likely acknowledge it within the movie.

We’re already excited to see Hugh Jackman return as Logan aka Wolverine. Also, many of the Deadpool cast has confirmed their return, namely Morena Baccarin, Karan Soni, Leslie Uggams and Stefan Kapičić.

We are still waiting for other cast listings, it seems that the X-Force is getting back together again, or what remains of it.

Deadline reports that Rob Delaney has already signed in to return as Peter in Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool 3. Peter was a funny addition to the X-Force team Deadpool and Weasel has made. The team included Domino, Bedlam, Shatterstar, Zeitgeist, Vanisher and Peter.

While most of the members are mutants, Peter was special because he was a very normal human being. He’s not even had any form of training. He’s like the next-door neighbor.

Unfortunately, most of the members of X-Force had perished including Peter. Although with a bit of time traveling manipulation, it was revealed that Deadpool made sure that Peter did survive. And was told that the X-Force was no more.

Peter was played by Delaney, who is known for the Channel 4’s Catastrophe TV series. Currently he stars in Showtime’s The Man Who Fell to Earth, and he’ll be in the new (sixth) season of Black Mirror.

He can also be seen in films like Rocketman (2019), Hobbs & Shaw (2019), Tom & Jerry (2021). More recently, he’s in Netflix’s The Bubble (2022) and The School of Good and Evil (2022). The actor will be joining high profile films soon as he is also in Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle starring Henry Cavill.

Deadpool 3 will also star Emma Corrin (The Crown), and Matthew Macfadyen (Succession). So far their roles haven’t been announced.

The plot of the film is under wraps, so it’s pretty much speculation at this time. Many presume that the film will be dealing with the multiverse since they will be moving from the 20th Century X-Men universe to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fans have been wondering if we’ll be seeing Loki, Miss Minutes, or even Kang the Conqueror. There are even rumours that cast of the X-Men and possibly even Chris Evans as The Human Torch from Fantastic Four would be appearing. Reports of multiple versions of Wolverine could possibly even show up. But so far those rumours haven’t been officially confirmed.

While I’m excited to see Peter back in action again, let’s hope he doesn’t die in Deadpool 3 this time around.

The film is being written by Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese and Zeb Wells. Deadpool 3 will be directed by Shawn Levy who Reynolds has worked with on FreeGuy and Netflix’s The Adam Project.
