It’s being reported that Marvel Cinematic Universe actor – Captain America himself – Chris Evans, is in talks to return as the Human Torch in Deadpool 3. Now, we don’t have any confirmation from anybody on our end that this is really happening; however, according to Giant Freakin Robot, it is.
According to the outlet, Evans isn’t the only Marvel actor that might turn up in Deadpool 3. They have claimed that Ryan Reynolds is planning on bringing back a lot of Marvel actors into the movie.
We already know that Hugh Jackman is going to be returning as his version of Wolverine – aka, Logan – in the movie. That was pretty huge news!
We’re now hearing reports that the likes of James Marsden, Halle Berry, Tom Hiddleston, Anna Paquin and even Jonathan Majors might be turning up in the movie.
Chris Evans could be turning up as the Human Torch in Deadpool 3
The one thing I’m pretty sure of is that Evans will not be playing the Human Torch in the upcoming Fantastic Four MCU movie. It’s been reported that Marvel is looking to cast younger actors in those roles.
We’ve also heard that John Krasinski will not be returning as Mister Fantastic in the movie. He played the iconic Marvel character in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.
However, it seems as though that appearance is going to end up being a one-off. Something for the fans to enjoy, which is fine.
This upcoming Fantastic Four movie, most likely, will feature young actors that we haven’t necessarily heard of before. We’re just going to have to wait and see what Marvel Studios and director, Matt Shakman, have in store for us.

Now, back to Deadpool 3. This movie has been in the works for quite some time. It’s already gone through several writers. The movie was initially going to be written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
However, when Disney took control of 20th Century Fox, Marvel Studios wanted to hire new writers to get a fresh pair of eyes on the movie. They ended up hiring Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin.
However, eventually, the pair left the project and Marvel and Ryan Reynolds brought Wernick and Reese back to finish off the script. It was then announced that the movie was going to be directed by Shawn Levy.
Levy had previously worked with Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. Both movies were well-received and it really looks like Reynolds and Levy have developed a very good working relationship over the course of these two movies.
Levy has also worked on Netflix’s Stranger Things, having directed a number of the show’s episodes and served as an executive producer on the series. He’s also worked with Hugh Jackman before on Real Steel, which is a really underrated movie of his.
There’s something about this project which really has me intrigued and excited. I actually think this might end up being the best Deadpool movie ever made. Yes, I might end up eating my words when the movie is finally released on November 8th, 2024, but something tells me that I won’t be.
