He revealed this during an interview with Fandom in which he was talking about potentially coming back to do Watchmen Season 2.
During the interview, he revealed he’s now eyeing major franchises like the MCU and Star Wars now that his time on Watchmen has come to an end.

Here’s what he told Fandom about the possibility of working with Marvel in the future:
I think that doing something in the Marvel universe, anywhere in the Marvel Universe, would be really potentially exciting for me, especially as they start to get a little bit more experimental. Some of the things that I’ve seen for WandaVision, for example, just feel like, ‘OK, now we’re getting somewhere.’ Particularly in a television space.
It is true that Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige are really starting to let loose with the MCU.
Projects like WandaVision, She Hulk and Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness really seem like their pushing the superhero genre boat out.
