It’s been revealed that West Side Story star, Ariana DeBose has been cast as the villain in Sony Pictures’ upcoming Marvel movie, Kraven The Hunter.

This news comes to us from Deadline and I think it’s perfect casting.

According to the report, DeBose will be playing Calypso in the movie, however, they do state that the source’s claims haven’t been verified yet.

That said, Deadline wouldn’t run this story without feeling confident in their source’s information.

We’re going to have to wait and see whether DeBose ends up being officially confirmed as being part of the upcoming Sony Pictures Marvel movie.

Kraven The Hunter has a pretty impressive cast already.

It was revealed that Sony had cast Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven The Hunter.

The movie will also star the likes of Russell Crowe and Fred Hechinger as Chameleon.

That’s a pretty great cast already and it’ll be interesting to see how this movie ends up performing.

It’s being directed by J.C. Chandor and he’s working off a script written by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk.

As of writing this article, the Kraven The Hunter movie is scheduled for released on January 13, 2023.

We’ll have to wait and see if it ends up keeping that release date.
