This is something that people have been dying to know about for some time now, but we finally know the real identity of the man in the mask in The Walking Dead. Turns out, it’s a character called Elijah.

This was revealed via The Walking Dead’s Twitter account, and they also revealed who was playing this mysterious masked character. The actor behind that mask is Okea Eme-Akwari.

You might know him from Cobra Kai or Greenland. He’s now playing Elijah in The Walking Dead, and I’m pretty sure fans of the show cannot wait to see what he does in the upcoming episodes.

The Walking Dead fans will be happy to know the identity of the man in the mask

Elijah first turned up in a hoodie and with a metal mask on his face. He was armed with two very dangerous kama blades and he ended up saving Aaron and Alden from some Whisperers. Those Whisperers are super freaky by the way.

He then went on to rescue Gabriel with Maggie Rhee who returned to the show. Gabriel was under attack from some Whisperers at the hospital and was very close to being killed before Elijah and Maggie turned up.

Throughout this whole ordeal, the man in the mask (Elijah) didn’t say a single word, which just added to the whole mystery. There were a whole bunch of theories of who he could be online afterwards.

Eme-Akwari is one of three actors confirmed to be joining the cast in season 10. The others are Terminator 2’s Robert Patrick as new survivor Mays and Hilarie Burton Morgan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s real-life wife who will be playing the role of Negan’s late wife Lucille in flashbacks. The Walking Dead Season 10 will return to AMC on Sunday, February 28th, 2021.
