It’s being predicted by a “legal expert” that Johnny Depp’s career in Hollywood could very well be over following his dismissal from Fantastic Beasts 3. This “expert” was quoted in a recent article published by Insider.

It all seems to be going downhill for Johnny Depp following him losing his UK court case against The Sun. He was suing The Sun for libel, yet he ended up losing and it seems as though many powerful people in Hollywood have called it quits on Johnny Depp.

He was asked to step down from the role of Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts 3 by Warner Bros. Pictures. Depp complied and ended up walking away from the project with $10 million in the bank, despite having only filmed one scene for the movie.

However, it sounds as though this exit might actually be a lot more costly for Johnny Depp in the long run, according to a former federal prosecutor at least. Read on to find out what she had to say on the matter.

Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani spoke to Insider about Depp’s career following him losing his court case against The Sun. She was pretty negative about his future in the entertainment industry and even compared Depp to Hollywood’s greatest monster, Harvey Weinstein. Here’s what she said:

I predict his career may never recover. Disney has lost interest in Depp for its Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and I can’t imagine any other major studio wanting to work with him. He’s going to be the next Harvey Weinstein.

She also went on to say that if Depp continued pursuing legal action in the courts, things could end up getting a whole lot worse for him. Here’s what she added:

Depp should get out of the defamation-lawsuit business while he still has a fragment of a movie career. The Virginia case is also a loser, like many celebrity family-law cases that do little to show celebrities in a good light. Depp should stick to scripts written by others rather than airing his real-life drama in a courtroom.
