The Mask Reboot Rumoured To Be The Start Of A New Trilogy

It’s being rumoured that Warner Bros. Pictures wants to make The Mask reboot the start of a new trilogy starring Jim Carrey.

There have been so many rumours about a reboot of The Mask.

So far, we’ve heard that Warner Bros. Pictures is planning on burning back Jim Carrey for the lead role.

We then heard that Karen Gillan was rumoured to be the film’s lead.

It was then suggested that Jim Carrey would be returning to voice the character in a new animated The Mask series.

Now, according to We Got This Covered, this rumoured reboot of The Mask could end up kickstarting a new trilogy.

The ‘media outlet’ (I use that term rather lightly), claims that sources close to them have informed them that Warner Bros. is keen on making this a new movie franchise.

Attempts had been made in the past to make The Mask a franchise.

However, the sequel ended up falling flat on its face, which was a shame.

One of the key points would be bringing Jim Carrey back to play the role he made his own in the 1994 movie.

No one else could really do what he did, and that would be highly important in getting this new movie franchise up and running.
