Stranger-Things-Season-5–Release-Date,-Cast-&-Story

It’s been rumoured for quite some time now that the Duffer Brothers were working on a Stranger Things spinoff show for Netflix, and they (sort of) confirmed that it is happening.

The Duffer Brothers hinted at the Stranger Things spinoff show happening during their interview with Variety.

Here’s what they had to say when they were asked whether they might be making Season 5 and the spinoff show at the same time.

There’s a version of them developing in parallel. They would never shoot in parallel. I think, actually, we’re going to start We’re actually going to start delving into that soon. I think as we’re winding down and writing and finishing these visual effects Matt and I are actually going to start getting into it.

Matt then added:

The reason why we haven’t done anything is because you just don’t want to be doing it for the wrong reasons, and it was just is this something that I want to make regardless of this being related to  Stranger Things or not, and definitely. So, even if we took the Stranger Things title off of it, I’m just so, so excited about it. But, I don’t think anyone’s going to be thinking, you know… it’s going to be different to what anyone is expecting including Netflix.

Ross then jumped in and said, “expect Finn”.

The reason why he said that was being Finn Wolfhard has already guessed what this spinoff show will be about!

Ross then added:

Finn Wolfhard is, but he wasn’t spitballing like ‘is it this, is it this’. He just goes, ‘I think this would be a cool spinoff’. We’re like ‘How? How in the world…?’

Matt then chimed in saying:

I do predict that he’s [Finn Wolfhard] going to be… I think… He’s already directing his first feature coming up and I think he’s going to be… his short film’s really good. I think the kid’s going to be… I think he’s going to be a director. I think he’s going to be a really talented director, that’s what I think. That’s my prediction.
