Squid Game Season 2’s Netflix Release Date Revealed

There has been so much chatter recently about Squid Game on Netflix, and we have some news to share with you about Season 2’s release date.

We previously revealed that Netflix has already given the greenlight to Squid Game Season 2.

However, there is quite a big question that still needs to be answered: when will Season 2’s release date be on Netflix?

That’s really not an easy question to answer and we’ve been contacting everyone we could who’s attached to the show.

Well, it seems as our persistence has paid off – sort off.

We were asking for confirmation about Squid Game Season 2, and we’ve also been asking some sources close to Netflix when the show might be released.

Squid Game Season 2’s release date might be sooner than you think

All I can say is that our [Netflix’s] aim is the get the second season out before the end of 2022. It won’t be easy because of the current global crisis we’re still in the midst of, and there are also details to sort out with Hwang [Dong-hyuk]. That might be the trickiest part of the whole negotiation phase because he’s a very busy man. (…) Everyone wants this to happen, it’s just a question of timing and scheduling.

So, it sounds like Netflix’s plan is to get the show out before the end of 2022.

However, given the fact that writer/director Hwang is already very busy, it might take a while for the second season to be released.

He’s currently working on a movie called KO Club.

We’re predicting that Season 2 of Squid Game should be on Netflix towards November/December 2022.
