Todd McFarlane Teases That A Big Spawn Reboot Update Is Coming Soon

It looks like we might be getting a big update on Todd McFarlane’s Spawn reboot in the next few weeks, and I’m wondering what it will be.

This Spawn reboot’s been in development Hell for quite some time now, and it must be pretty difficult for its creator, Todd McFarlane.

McFarlane revealed a while back that he would be directing the reboot from a script which he also had a hand in writing.

According to IMDB Pro’s site, the movie will star Jamie Foxx and Jeremy Renner, but again, these things could change.

Anyway, Todd McFarles took to Instagram to reveal to his 259K fans that a big Spawn reboot movie update would be coming soon.

Here’s what he had to say about the update in full:

Thanks to Joker movie, getting lots of momentum on Spawn movie. Hope to have big news in the next month. R-rated is now sexy in Hollywood.

So, it sounds like Joker’s huge success is getting executives in Hollywood more open to the idea of making R-rated comic book movies.

If there was ever one comic book movie that should be made R-rated, it’s the Spawn reboot film.

The first Spawn movie came out in 1997 and it wasn’t very good. It was really strange.

However, there’s something very charming about the film and I know there’s a good movie in there somewhere.

Spawn has a very devoted cult following and I know that if the movie seems cool, bloody, gory and weird enough then people will go to the cinema to watch it in their droves.

They all went to see Todd Phillips’ Joker and that was an R-rated movie, so it looks like there’s an appetite for these kinds of movies.

What do you think of this? Are you looking forward to watching the Spawn reboot?
