Lucifer Season 5 is currently filming and hopefully, it won’t be long before we get to watch the final few episodes of the show. However, could one of the episodes of Lucifer Season 5 be a crossover episode with Gotham?
Fans of both shows have started to wonder whether this could be the case ever since it was revealed Drew Powell would be making his Lucifer debut.
Gotham fans will recognise Powell for playing Butch Gilzean and Solomon Grundy in Gotham.
So, does this mean there could be a Lucifer and Gotham crossover, or does it mean that Powell\s just managed to land himself a role in both shows?
Well, at first glance, I would have gone with the latter option, because Gotham’s now finished and it would be way too strange to have Butch or Solomon Grundy turn up in Lucifer.
However, Ellis and Powell’s little Instagram conversation had me thinking that a Lucifer and Gotham crossover might be on the cards.
Ellis shared an image of him with Powell on the set of Lucifer and accompanied the picture with the following caption.
Such a pleasure having @realdrewpowell on the set of @lucifernetflix yesterday!!!!!
This in itself doesn’t say much. Powell could be playing a brand new character on the show. However, Powell’s response to this image really got me wondering.
It feels as if a Lucifer Gotham crossover episode is on the cards
Here’s Powell comment on Ellis’ Instagram post.
You’re a bloody legend mate! Can’t wait to mix it up again with you down the road. PS: this ep is gonna blow people’s minds!
OK, so why would the episode Powell’s in blow people’s minds. The most obvious response to that question would be because he’s going to be cameoing as Butch Gilzean/Solomon Grundy in it.
That would, therefore, make it a Lucifer and Gotham crossover episode and that would be so cool!
What do you think? Do you reckon they’ll be a Lucifer and Gotham crossover episode in Season 5?
