Henry Cavill is going to be starring in Guy Ritchie’s next movie, and we finally have our first look at his character in the picture, and he looks very, very interesting. You can check out the photo of him in the movie via the Facebook post below.

So, what is this upcoming movie that Cavill is going to be starring in?

The movie is called The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, and Guy Ritchie isn’t only the film’s director. He also helped write the picture’s script, and it has a pretty impressive cast list.

The movie actually has a very long list of writers. Alongside Ritchie, you have the likes of Arash Amel, Eric Johnson, and Paul Tamasy. The film is going to be based on Damien Lewis’ book.

So, let’s go over the actors who are going to be joining Cavill in this movie. The first big name on this list is Alan Ritchson. His star has really been rising over the past few years. He’s starring in the hugely popular Reacher series on Prime Video.

He was also in Fast X and actually had a pretty big role in that movie. He’s also going to be in the next Fast And Furious movie. Joining them is Crazy Rich Asians star, Henry Goulding. Star of Godzilla Vs. Kong, Baby Driver and Hobbs And Shaw, Eiza González is also going to be in the picture.

The legend that is Cary Elwes is also going to be in this new Guy Ritchie movie. Oh, and I also shouldn’t forget Alex Pettyfer, who you might remember from the Stormbreaker movie. He was also in the likes of I Am Number Four and Magic Mike.

Right, let’s talk about what this upcoming Ritchie picture is all about. Here’s The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare’s plot synopsis:

The British military recruits a small group of highly-skilled soldiers to strike against Nazi forces behind enemy lines during World War II.

Is Guy Ritchie’s next movie just a British Inglourious Basterds?

This basically sounds like a British version of Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, and I like the sound of that. Guy Ritchie’s got a unique directing style, and I think that he will really suit a movie like this one.

One of the reasons why Inglourious Basterds worked so well was because it was highly stylised, and I think it could be the same sort of thing with this upcoming World War II movie. What I’m not so sure about is whether this movie is going to be based on ‘real-life events’ or whether it’ll all be made up.

Personally, I loved the fact that Inglourious Basterds was all fiction. It just made the movie so much more enjoyable. Interestingly enough, there is a pretty strong link between these two movies. It was revealed not too long ago that Til Schweiger had been cast in Ritchie’s next picture.

You might remember Schweiger as the person who played Sgt. Hugo Stiglitz in Tarantino’s 2009 movie.

As for Henry Cavill’s look in the movie, he’s going to be sporting a glorious moustache and beard. Yep. Cavill’s going there again!

You might know what I’m referencing there. Cavill was embroiled in a whole thing when he had to go back to film reshoots for Joss Whedon’s Justice League. However, he was also filming Mission: Impossible – Fallout at the same time. In that movie, his character had a fabulous moustache, and Paramount Pictures didn’t want him to shave it.

However, Superman is very much clean-shaven. So, in the end, Warner Bros. Pictures had to pay people to try and digitally remove Cavill’s moustache from the footage they had to film during the reshoots that were put in the movie’s final cut. It all resulted in Superman having a pretty hideous upper lip in some scenes in the movie.

Thankfully, none of that nonsense has happened with this upcoming Guy Ritchie movie. I have to say, Cavill can really grow facial hair! He’s got a real knack for it.

As for The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare’s release date, that still hasn’t been revealed yet. That said, we do know that it’s going to be released in 2024.
