Netflix’s Horse Girl Trailer Starring Alison Bree Looks Like The X-Files Meets The Twilight Zone

Netflix has released the very first trailer for their upcoming movie, Horse Girl, which looks very strange indeed.

The film stars Alison Brie, who’s working with her director from the movie Little Hours, Jeff Baena, and it follows the story of a shy young woman who’s having to deal with some very odd symptoms.

She ends up believing she’s being abducted by aliens, and that’s when this starts to feel a lot like an episode of The X-Files or The Twilight Zone.

Brie’s character, called Sarah, works in an arts-and-crafts clerk and she’s constantly asked what’s she going to do for her birthday.

But, Sarah doesn’t really have any friends and the things she loves are her horse and Zumba, but she’s pretty much a bit of a loner.

Her life starts to change drastically when a new love interest (played by John Reynolds) enters her life, but she also starts to suffer from some really strange dreams, and she thinks she’s been sleepwalking.

Horse Girl seems like it’s a mixture of The X-Files and The Twilight Zone

As Sarah tries to work out what’s going on with her, she begins to believe she’s being abducted by aliens and thinks the same thing happened to her grandmother.

Horse Girl is definitely going to be in my Netflix movies watch list, and I’m pretty sure it should also be in yours.

Interestingly enough, Brie also co-wrote the film’s script with Baena.

Horse Girl’s cast also including Molly Shannon, Paul Reiser, Jay Duplass, Robin Tunney, Debby Ryan, and Toby Huss.

The film will premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival before being available to stream on Netflix.

Horse Girl will be available to stream on Netflix on February 7th.
