Mark Hamill & Hayden Christensen Returning For New Star Wars Movie

Mark Hamill and Hayden Christensen Returning For New Star Wars Movie

Mark Hamill and Hayden Christensen could potentially make appearances as Force ghosts in Daisy Ridley’s new Star Wars movie, which is something that Star Wars fans would likely be excited about.

With the announcement of multiple films being developed for the franchise, anticipation grew among fans, although some are uncertain about what to expect. While devoted fans eagerly anticipate what the galaxy far, far away has to offer, the reception of the last few films has been mixed.

The Star Wars brand has been kept afloat primarily through successful TV shows like The Mandalorian. While many have enjoyed series such as Andor, The Bad Batch, Tales of the Jedi and Visions, other shows like Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Book of Boba Fett have received mixed reviews.

Although there was initial excitement surrounding the announcement of new movies, some fans were cautious upon learning that Rey Skywalker (portrayed by Daisy Ridley) would be the main focus of one of the films. The concerns were not about the character or the actress herself but rather how the character was written and the overall direction of the sequel trilogy.

The news of upcoming stars who will be featured in the new movie is something that fans can eagerly anticipate and get excited about.

According to a report from Giant Freakin Robot, it has been suggested that both Mark Hamill and Hayden Christensen will reprise their roles as Luke Skywalker and Anakin Skywalker, respectively, in Daisy Ridley’s upcoming Star Wars movie. This news is undoubtedly exciting, but the specifics of their involvement and the plot remain unknown at this time.

It is worth noting that in Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker, we did see Luke Skywalker and Yoda (voiced by Frank Oz) make appearances. Additionally, the film included the voices of several deceased Jedi, such as Obi-Wan Kenobi (portrayed by Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor), Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson), Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze Jr.), Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein), Luminara Unduli (Olivia D’Abo), Aayla Secura (Jennifer Hale), Mace Windu (Samuel L. Jackson), Adi Gallia (Angelique Perrin), and Anakin Skywalker.

However, it is important to note that in the film, these Jedi voices did not interact with each other. Only Luke Skywalker and Yoda shared a brief exchange.

It is unclear whether Luke and Anakin will have a conversation in the new Star Wars movie. Fans would love to see and hear them interact. Given their family connection, it would be interesting to witness their discussion in front of Rey. The possibility of dialogue between these iconic characters is highly anticipated.

Personally, I have mixed feelings about the upcoming film. I would like to see a more developed storyline for Daisy Ridley’s character, Rey Skywalker, as the previous two films didn’t fully engage me in her journey. The idea of Rey rebuilding the Jedi Order is something I initially wished Luke Skywalker would have done. However, considering Luke’s struggles with Ben Solo (Kylo Ren), perhaps it’s for the best that Rey takes on that role.

On the other hand, having Rey guided by a failed Jedi Master and a Sith Lord doesn’t inspire much confidence. I am genuinely curious about the knowledge they can share to give the rise of the Jedi a chance. Then again, maybe it’s exactly the thing that Rey needs to rebuild.

I would love to see Luke Skywalker back in some way to me he is what star wars is all about. My favorite movie has always been Return of the Jedi. Luke is who I grew up on and Yoda.
