Sir Ian McKellen has revealed via a post on Facebook that he believes Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch and his Magneto should be father and daughter in the MCU.

Here’s what McKellen actually wrote in his Facebook post:

If I had a daughter, I’d hope she’d be like Elizabeth. A treat to be her Daddy!

Underneath this caption, he included a link to an interview Olsen did with Geek Culture.

In that interview, Elizabeth Olsen revealed that she would love to work with Sir Ian McKellen on a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.

She actually revealed that his version of Magneto should be the Scarlet Witch’s father.

That would make quite a bit of sense because Magneto is Scarlet Witch’s father in the comic books.

Here’s what Elizabeth Olsen had to say about McKellen’s Magneto being Scarlet Witch’s father in the MCU:

Oh… [laughs] I’m gonna go with Sir Ian McKellen. I had the biggest crush on him. He’s in these videos called Playing Shakespeare where actors get together and they do a Shakespeare… It’s a video series. He’s like the sexiest man in the world so I would say Sir Ian McKellen.

Olsen said this after the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and that movie certainly pushes Phase Four forward.

Could Ian McKellen’s Magneto be brought into the MCU?

After Doctor Strange 2, it wouldn’t be implausible to see McKellen’s version of Magneto be brought into the MCU.

Fans have also been wondering where Olsen’s Scarlet Witch will appear next.

Well, Olsen did have a few things to say about her future in the MCU during an interview with Extra.

We got to do so much with the character, so much with the story and I just wanted to make sure that we continued the evolution into this film and to play things that our fans or the audience haven’t seen her do yet. There’s a couple different versions of what could happen at the end of this film. Mostly, I want to hear what the fans who know her best, what they would like to see from her next.”
