Henry Cavill Could Return For Mission: Impossible 7
First off, I have to make it very clear that I’m a bit fan of Cavill’s. I think he’s a seriously underrated actor and was one of the best actors to play Superman, he was just given poor scripts.
I loved his performance in Mission: Impossible – Fallout as the CIA agent, August Walker.
He’s certainly got the physicality which will make you believe he’s someone the CIA would want to put into the field.
The guy’s built like a tank, and then there’s his moustache, which has to be the most famous moustache in Hollywood history.
It’s been pretty well documented how Paramount Pictures wouldn’t let Cavill shave off his moustache for the Justice League reshoots, which is why Superman’s face looks a total mess in that movie.
Henry Cavill could be returning as August Walker in Mission: Impossible 7
There was a whole legal battle and it got rather silly over a moustache, but after watching Mission: Impossible -Fallout, I do understand why they were so against Cavill shaving it off.
It just looks perfect on him, and I’m glad Paramount Pictures really put their foot down on that front.
The whole ordeal was nicknamed Moustachegate, and it was a rather funny story.
Anyway, SPOILERS just in case you haven’t seen Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Walker turns out to be a bad guy in the movie and has a huge helicopter fight with Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt.
However, he ends up falling off a cliff and then supposedly being burnt up in the subsequent explosion.
Yet, We Got This Covered is now reporting that he’ll be returning in Mission: Impossible 7, and I’m going to be honest, I don’t understand how that could happen unless he survived the explosion, which would be a bit farfetched, even for a Mission: Impossible movie.
It would be… well… impossible. We’ll just have to wait and see whether his return does happen or not.
