It seems as though Henry Cavill is going to be playing a Navy SEAL in his upcoming action movie, which I think is perfect casting. Cavill has been in the news a lot recently. It seems like he’s constantly being attached to some sort of movie and/or franchise.
There have been a lot of rumours that Cavill is in contention to play James Bond. He’s also been attached to multiple roles in the MCU. However, nothing officially has been announced regarding these rumours.
That said, the one thing we do know about Cavill’s future projects is that he’s going to be a very busy man. He’s attached to star in and produce a Warhammer 40K series for Prime Video. The actor is also going to be starring in Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle movie.
All of this shows that Cavill’s going to be OK, even though he’s no longer going to be playing Superman and The Witcher. We’re now hearing reports that he’s agreed to star in a new movie in which he’ll play a Navy SEAL.

According to Giant Freakin Robot, Cavill’s upcoming picture is going to be called Rogue. They added that he’s going to be playing a Navy SEAL who takes matters into his own hands in the movie.
Their report also added that the movie is going to be developed at Universal Pictures. I will say that I haven’t been able to find any other information about this upcoming movie from any other sources or outlets.

Henry Cavill will star in Rogue as an elite U.S. military agent who goes against order to take down an unnamed terrorist organization, presumably because the rules of warfare are overly constricting for what it takes to kill anonymous combatants. The actual plot of the film sounds pretty standard for military-themed action movies from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Commando to Christopher Walken’s McBain and even (on the more fantastic end of things) the various Suicide Squad movies, all of which basically feature paramilitary operations doing things their own way.

So, as mentionned above, it seems as though Cavill is going to be pretty much fine moving forward. He’s tied to a lot of upcoming projects, and he’s even going to start producing projects, which is where actors earn the real bucks.
The fact that he’s going to be a big part of the Warhammer 40K series for Amazon Studios is huge news. It’s even been stated that he’s bascially going to be the Kevin Feige of the upcoming Warhammer cinematic universe.
He’s also been rumoured to be in talks to star in Sherlock Holmes 3 alongside Robert Downey Jr.. Again, that report hasn’t been officially confirmed, but it would be interesting to see him in the franchise.
He’s just come off of playing Sherlock in the two Enola Holmes movies on Netflix. I think he did a really good job in the role in the those movies. It’s not the greatest interpretation of the character ever put to screen, but it worked in the movies.
