Henry Cavill Honoured To Be In The James Bond Conversation

Henry Cavill has revealed that he’s honoured that he’s still in the James Bond conversation that’s raging online at the moment.

Cavill revealed this during a recent event in which he was promoting his upcoming Apple TV Plus movie, Argylle.

The movie is being directed by Matthew Vaughn, who’s claimed on multiple occasions that Cavill was born to play Bond.

Here’s what Cavill had to say about still being in the James Bond conversation (via The Express Online):

Look – I hate it when people start a sentence with ‘look’ – it sounds like they’re lying about something. I think it would be very exciting to have a conversation with the producers.

Cavill. then went on to add that “nothing is off the table” and that he considers it an honour to even be part of the conversation regarding who’ll play Bond next.

Here’s what he had to say on the matter:

In an ideal world, I’d never have to turn anything down. Nothing is off the table. It’s an honour to even be part of that conversation.

Should Henry Cavill be the next James Bond? We think he’d be a great choice!

As I mentioned above, his Argylle director, Matthew Vaughn, thinks he was born to play the British secret agent.

He went to explain that he wanted to make sure that he managed to “nick” the actor before the Bond producers did.

Well, Cavill’s recent comments about wanting to play James Bond have led to his odds for the role being slashed.

Following Cavill’s comments on becoming the next 007, his Bond odds have been slashed.

Ladbrokes previously had the actor at 9/1, and he’s now at 7/1 (or 007/1 you could say).

Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati said:

Henry Cavill has dropped a huge Bond hint this week, and punters reckon he could now be the one to watch when it comes to finding Daniel Craig’s replacement.

That said, Cavill is still behind Richard Madden with 7/2, and Tom Hardy with 4/1.
