Emily In Paris Season 1 has just landed on Netflix and it’s caused quite a stir. The show now has loads of fans and they are already calling for a Season 2, but when will its release date be?
We’ve decided to have a look at when the next season of Emily In Paris could be coming to Netflix.
Fans of Sex And The City would have been over the moon when it was revealed that its creator, Darren Star, was returning with a new TV show.
They would have been even happier when it was revealed that this new show would be coming to Netflix, which most people are subscribed to these days.
There was also the fact that this new series would be set in the beautiful city of Paris, a.k.a. The City of Love, a.k.a. The City of Lights.
This news series, called Emily In Paris, recently landed on Netflix and it received relatively mixed reviews.
However, one thing it managed to do very successfully was to get people talking.
People were both in awe of the show, the setting, the romance, and for some reason, the clothes.
However, French people weren’t so swept away by the show and found it to be rather offensive.
There are a bunch of reasons why this was the case. Having grown up in Paris myself, I really do understand where they’re coming from.

Anyway, Emily In Paris stars Lily Collins as Emily Cooper.
She is a young twenty-something woman from Chicago who works as a marketing executive.
Her life is quickly turned upside-down when an opportunity to move to Paris arises at work and she decides to make the move to the City of Lights.
She leaves her old life and boyfriend behind and ends up having to get used to her new life in the French capital.
However, trying to become accepted in a city like Paris isn’t easy.
Emily is quickly labelled as the ignorant and arrogant American who can’t speak French.
Things are no better at work.
She now works at a company called Savoir which is a marketing agency recently acquired by the company Emily was working for in Chicago.
Emily’s there to help the transition, yet it seems as though she’s the one in need of help.
Emily’s new Parisian boss Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) and her new incredibly hot French neighbour, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) do not help in making the transition easy.
That said, Lily Collins’ Emily does manage to make some friends in au pair Mindy (Ashley Park) and Gabriel’s girlfriend, Camille (Camille Razat).
OK, so that’s the most of the first season in a nutshell.

However, if you’re reading this article, then you’ve probably watched it already, so you should know how the first season finishes.
As of yet, Netflix hasn’t offered any word on when Emily In Paris Season 2’s release date will be.
The main issue with this show, or more specifically, the issue with getting Season 2 greenlight is COVID-19.
The Netflix show is filmed in Paris and right now that’s impossible.
Coronavirus has meant that nothing is being filmed in Paris.
It’s not in lockdown, but there are very tough restrictions on things such as filming in the city.
This means that Netflix really has to wait and see what happens with the Coronavirus pandemic before going ahead with Emily In Paris Season 2.
With this in mind, we might not see Emily In Paris Season 2 until 2022.
That said, the show can be turned around pretty quickly.
That means that the minute Netflix gives the go-ahead on Emily In Paris Season 2, they’ll get it all filmed and edited pretty swiftly.
Therefore, we could end up seeing the second season sometime around the end of 2021.
That is a pretty long time to wait for the second season.
However, I’m pretty sure that fans will wait.

I’m also pretty sure that Netflix will want to make a second season of Emily In Paris.
The reason why they would want another season of this show is due to the fact it’s been really popular.
It’s been popular in the UK, in the US and even in France.
That’s despite the fact that many French people, especially Parisians, found the show’s depiction of French people to be rather offensive.
I spent most of my childhood living near Paris and I thought the show’s depiction of Parisians to be pretty poor.
That said, there are truths behind some of the cliches used by Darren Star.
However, I still think French people would be interested in watching a second season.
The other reason why I think Netflix would want to greenlight Season 2 is that they don’t have another show like it.
Ever since Sex And The City ended there’s bee a void of shows like these.
I think fans of the show have been looking for something like this ever since Sex And The City came to an end.
And, there are still a lot of Sex And The City fans out there.
