There are now rumours suggesting that Marvel Studios is looking at John Krasinski and Emily Blunt to star in their upcoming Fantastic Four movie.
This rumour comes from Mikey Sutton (via We Got This Covered), who’s one of those Marvel movie ‘scoopsters’.
This means I’d be very cautious about taking this rumour as confirmation that Marvel Studios really does have these two on their radar.
However, the reason I’m running the story is because I really do believe they’d be excellent casting for the roles.
Which roles, I hear you ask? Well, the roles they’re reportedly being looked at for are Reed Richards and Susan Storm.
Marvel fans have been begging for the husband and wife to be cast as the two members of the Fantastic Four.
Both Krasinski and Blunt have been up for Marvel roles in the past and it’s about time they join the MCU.
It’s common knowledge that Krasinski was in contention to play Captain America before Chris Evans was cast.
John Krasinski and Emily Blunt could be in Marvel’s Fantastic Four movie
Blunt was reportedly considered for the role of Black Widow.
Honestly, I think Kevin Feige would jump at the chance as casting the pair in the Fantastic Four movie.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if they try to get Krasinski to direct the movie.
He’s shown how talented he id behind the camera with his movie A Quiet Place.
He’s currently hard at work on the sequel, A Quiet Place Part 2.
I’d be interesting to see what happens after that movie comes out and whether he’d still be Hollywood’s flavour of the month.
That said, he’s shown that he can do action as Jack Ryan in the Amazon Prime series.
Emily Blunt’s also shown how great she is in action movies in A Quiet Place and Edge of Tomorrow (also referred to as Live. Die. Repeat).
Do you think John Krasinski and Emily Blunt would be good casting for Marvel’s Fantastic Four movie?
