Doctor Doom Is Getting His Own Series

Doctor Doom is getting his own series! OK, now this might be a bit of clickbait, but the character is getting his own series, only it’ll be a podcast series. Sorry guys. But, maybe one day, we’ll get to see a live-action Doctor Doom series on Disney Plus. As for this podcast series, it’s going to be called Marvel’s Wastelanders: Doom.

This comes after DC made a string of really good Batman podcasts and it looks like Marvel is planning on doing something similar. However, these won’t be the first Marvel podcasts. There was a really good Wolverine podcast made a few years back, and I believe it might still be going. I’m sure there have been other Marvel podcasts, but something tells me that this Doctor Doom one will be the one that will get people listening.

A new Doctor Doom series is in the works… but it’s a podcast…

I love podcasts. I have done ever since they became a thing. I love the medium, and I think you can come up with some really great scripted stories via the medium. I actually think that this idea of making a Doctor Doom podcast is a really good one and I cannot wait to listen to it. Marvel’s Wastelanders: Doom, is already available to listen to on SiriusXM, Apple Podcasts, Pandora, Stitcher, Spotify and my favourite podcasting platform, Pocket Casts.

This new podcast series will tell the story of the Fantastic Four villain freeing himself from imprisonment and seeking revenge on those who wronged him, with the help of an unlikely ally: Valeria Richards, the daughter of Reed Richards – aka Reed Richards.

The new series stars the likes of Dylan Baker (The Americans) as Doctor Doom, Danny Burstein (Blackhat) as the Hulk, Keith David (The Thing) as the Kingpin, John Hawkes as Klaw, Kristen Johnston as She-Hulk, Elijah Jones as Johnny Claymore, Rebecca Naomi Jones as Valeria, Hamish Linklater as Sandman, Nadine Malouf as Cora, and Luke Kirby as Maximus. The series is directed by Jade King Carroll.

This story was written by comic book writers Mark Waid and James Kim. It’s the latest entry in a popular line of audio dramas in the Wastelanders series. These include the likes of Wolverine, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Star-Lord. The stories are set in the same timeline, and often interconnect.
