Tom Holland’s Next Spider-Man Films Rumoured To Be Darker And More Violent

It’s being rumoured that Tom Holland’s upcoming Spider-Man films will be darker and more violent than the one’s we’ve seen in the MCU. According to Geekosity’s Mikey Sutton this is something that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have been looking to do for some time.

I’ve really loved the recent Spider-Man films. I thought that both Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home were among the best Spidey films we’ve ever seen. I would still put Spider-Man 2 ahead of them, and Sam Raimi’s first Spider-Man film I believe is on par with Homecoming and a bit better than Far From Home.

However, it sounds like things are going to get a lot darker for Peter Parker in the upcoming Spidey movies. This is something that’s been gradually coming for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, and it looks like it’s going to get a lot darker and more violent for him in the movies ahead.

Here’s what Mikey Sutton revealed in a recent scoop over on Geekosity regarding the upcoming Spider-Man movies being darker and more violent than the previous ones:

As the second Spider-Man trilogy will focus on Peter Parker’s college years, he will experience more tragedy and powerful, darker villains, according to insiders.

In Sutton’s report, he also goes into what he’s heard could happen in future Spider-Man films, and it really is an interesting read. For instances, he says that Spider-Man will go up against the likes of the Hobgoblin, Venom, Man-Wolf, and the Kingpin in the future films.
