It’s been revealed that Tim Burton’s upcoming The Addams Family series for Netflix has just cast its Wednesday Addams.

According to Deadline, Netflix has cast Jenna Ortega (Yes Day, Jane the Virgin) as Wednesday Addams in the upcoming Addams Family series.

This upcoming series has been written by Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar.

It’s set to be directed by Tim Burton and it’ll be his first time making something for television.

The series has been described as a “sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ (Ortega) years as a student at Nevermore Academy.”

She’ll be attempting to master her psychic ability in order to stop a terrible killing spree that’s terrified the whole town.

She will have to solve the supernatural mystery that her parents were embroiled in 25 years ago.
