It’s now being reported that Thor is going to be getting his own Disney Plus TV show, which I’m struggling to believe. This rumour comes from serial scoopster and supposed insider, Daniel Richtman.
He posted this ‘report’ on his Patreon page, which you have to be a member to access. However, we got this story via We Got This Covered, mainly because we do not want to pay for Richtman’s scoops. All this preamble to say, just be careful of what Daniel has to say about these things.
I’ve been asked a few times why I bother to report on what Daniel says, and the reason is because, he does sometimes turn out to be right. I would be remiss if I didn’t cover one of his scoops that were actually correct. Even a broken clock is right twice a day…

One of the reasons why I’m so skeptical about this rumour is because Thor is one of Marvel’s biggest movie properties. I’m really not sure they’d be very keen on the idea of making him the protagonist of a TV show, even if Disney wants to bring everything to streaming.
I still think Thor is a huge draw at the box office, and if Thor: Love And Thunder does as well as I think it’s going to do, Marvel will want to make another movie with Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder, not a series.
That said, I do believe the rumours that Hemsworth might turn up as Thor in a future Disney Plus series. I just don’t think it’ll be a Thor show.
