The Witcher Season 2’s Release Window On Netflix Revealed

The release window for The Witcher Season 2 on Netflix has been revealed, and we might not have to wait too long for the show.

According to Deadline, The Witcher Season 2 will be coming out on Netflix towards the end of this year. Q4 of 2021 to be exact.

This was revealed by Netflix’s Co-CEO and Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos during a recent interview.

Here’s what Sarandos had to say on The Witcher Season 2’s release date being pushed to the end of 2021:

What happened in the first part of this year was that a lot of the projects that we’d hoped to come out earlier did get pushed because of the post-production delays and Covid delays and we think we’ll get back to a much steadier state in the back half of the year, certainly in Q4 where we have the returning seasons of some of our most popular shows like The Witcher and You and Cobra Kai as well as some big tentpole movies that came to market a little slower than we’d hoped like Red Notice and Escape From Spiderhead.

We were then informed by an inside source that the second season of The Witcher will be released in December of 2021:

We are working towards an end of December release date. The thing is, there are so many other shows also scheduled for release in that month, and things could be moved around a bit.

Our source then went on to add:

For now, we’re looking at an end of December release date for season 2, but that could get moved to early Jan. 2022. Post should go smoothly and it should be done by then. It’s just a matter of scheduling and not having too many things come out at once.
