It seems as though Money Heist Season 5’s release date might have been delayed by Netflix, which isn’t good news, but it’s also not terrible.

This report comes to us from an inside source over at Netflix who’s claiming that they’ve been forced to push the release back a bit.

The fifth and final installment of the popular Spanish series was originally supposed to be with us this Spring.

However, the pandemic really set things back and Netflix was already forced to push the release date back slightly to September 2021.

So, what’s going on with Part 5 of La Casa De Papel?

Well, it seems as though post-production on Money Heist Season 5 is taking a bit longer than expected.

Filming on Season 5 only just wrapped recently.

It went over schedule thanks to the pandemic.

Internally, the show’s producers and Netflix’s bosses were hoping that the series would be finished with post in time for a September 2021 release.

Well, we’re being told that post-production is going well.

However, the powers that be want to give the show a bit more time.

We’re working hard in post, but it looks like Part 5 is going to take a bit longer than first thought. 2021 Q4 release date now. September might be too early for us.

This means that it looks like Part 5 will be released between October and December 2021.

That means that Netflix will have the likes of The Witcher Season 2, Money Heist Season 5 and possibly Bridgerton Season 2 all coming out in the fourth quarter of 2021.

That’s a lot of big Netflix originals to come out in the same quarter.

They might end up doing some more reshuffling should the streamer feel that it’s a bit too busy.
