The Matrix Resurrections First Trailer Released

It’s finally here people! The first full trailer for The Matrix Resurrections has been released and the movie looks bloody incredible!

Now, it was revealed that the trailer would be released by Warner Bros. Pictures today.

They first showed the trailer during CinemaCon and the news coming from that event was that it was an incredible trailer.

I have to say that this movie looks really, really impressive.

But, before I get into all of that, I think that I need to come clean with you.

I’m not a huge fan of The Matrix movies.

I loved the first as a teenager, and then the subsequent films just became more and more obtuse for me.

Maybe I just lost my grip on The Matrix’s reality as more films in the franchise were released and they kind of passed me by.

I just wasn’t as enamoured with them as all my friends were.

However, there’s something about this new one that really excites me.

The Matrix Resurrections trailer is pretty darn insane

Maybe it’s the fact that Keanu Reeves has gone through an incredible renaissance in his career, primarily thanks to the John Wick movies.

He’s also shown us that he still has it in him to do these action movies and he’s better than ever.

This new Matrix movie, The Matrix Resurrections, does seem to be going over old ground.

However, there’s an interesting theme here.

This movie seems to be about mental health, mostly, and also memory loss.

I love the symbolism in this trailer alone and I think writer/director Lana Wachowski has come back to this franchise at the right time.

The Matrix Resurrections seems to be exploring fascinating themes

The Matrix Resurrections will star Keanu Reeves, obviously, who’ll be back as Neo – aka The One.

He’ll be joined by Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Christina Ricci.

The Matrix Resurrections is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures theatrically on December 22st, 2021.

It’ll also be released on HBO Max on the ad-free tier of the platform.
