I’ve made no secret of the fact that I’m a huge Keanu Reeves fan, and it’s been revealed that The Matrix 4 and John Wick: Chapter 4 will be released on the same day.
I honestly cannot remember the last time something like this has happened, but it means that the day in question is going to be a great day for Keanu Reeves fans.
The day in question is May 21st, 2021, and that will be a day to remember for all us Reeves-heads, and these are easily two of my most anticipated films of that year.
This news comes via Deadline, who reported that Warner Bros. Pictures will be moving around the release dates of some of their other movies coming out in 2021.
The Matrix 4 is going to be one of Warner Bros. Pictures’ tentpole pictures of 2021, and the film will see Lana Wachowski return to direct.
The film will also star Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jessica Henwick and Toby Onwumere.

Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell helped pen The Matrix 4’s script with Wachowski, and I cannot wait to see this movie.
As for John Wick: Chapter 4, the film will be released by Lionsgate, and the franchise is in a very good place after the incredible John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
The third film in the John Wick franchise came out this year and was easily one of the very best action films I’ve ever seen.
I would easily put it in my top ten movies of the year, and I’m really looking forward to watching the next instalment in the John Wick franchise.
John Wick: Chapter 4 and The Matrix 4 will both be released on May 21st, 2021.
