The Mandalorian Season 3 Might Feature Anakin Skywalker Cameo

Yesterday we posted about The Mandalorian Season 3 releasing its trailer and agreed on the rising possibility of Anakin Skywalker appearing. Now Screen Rant writes about the same, making the notion not exactly impossible at all.

Furthermore, it’s not actually farfetched to think that Hayden Christensen may just reprise his role in the series. This is considering that he has already done so for last year’s Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney Plus as well.

Even more intriguing is the possibility that they may have already shot a scene with him during that time. And it may be of use for the series’ third season.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Could Bring Anakin Skywalker Back

In The Book Of Boba Fett Chapter 6, when Grogu was still under Master Luke Skywalker’s tutelage, he was able to recall the day the Empire executed Order 66. Master Luke also said Grogu is remembering more than he is actually teaching the Child anything.

By the end of that episode, Master Luke gives Grogu the choice and the Child chooses to be a Mandalorian foundling instead of a Padawan. But this does not stop the memories he will still eventually regain.

The most sought-after detail is the night the Jedi Purge began with Order 66. Ever since Season 1, many theories have been afloat with regard to how Grogu escaped young Darth Vader’s lightsaber.

There were those that said Mace Windu was there with Grogu and saved him that fateful night. But questions still remain as to where he has been over the years and how he has been surviving before Din Djarin got hold of him.

More and more, the upcoming season of The Mandalorian brings forth a possible dive into the past. Particularly those in Grogu’s memory.

And if ever the beam lashing through the access doors in the trailer is indicative of a lightsaber, it gives a greater possibility of opening to show Anakin Skywalker.

Whether Hayden Christensen will appear in the memory, it’s also subject to possibility. For one thing, Anakin would be executing a task as the young Darth Vader at that point.

As it’s Grogu’s memory, he may have only seen a dark hooded figure with a lightsaber that momentous night.

Grogu’s memory could also be key to the reason why Moff Gideon values him for their future plans.

Because they have already shown Grogu’s memory of the night in The Book Of Boba Fett, we are expecting that the scene the trailer presented will reveal something even more substantial.

For one thing, comparing that scene to the one in The Book Of Boba Fett, the image is clearer. So much that if it truly is a memory, this will be a more detailed version of what Grogu recalls to have happened at the time.

In the final moments of the battle between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, Vader tells Obi-Wan that he killed Anakin. That night when Anakin killed the younglings, the action could have also reflected on him killing his Jedi self.

To be able to end Padawans would have to mean succumbing to the darkest side of one Force-sensitive individual. Thus, Anakin rid himself of every innocent aspect of his existence.

And Grogu witnessed it all. Anakin ceases to exist and rages towards Obi-Wan Kenobi from then on.

Perhaps it was only until he learned of Luke’s existence did, he learn to control his rage.

Do you think Anakin Skywalker will appear in the new season of The Mandalorian? Could Hayden Christensen really come back for the role?
