Will The Grand Tour and Clarkson’s Farm crossover over on Amazon Prime Video in the not-so-distant future? That’s something that we want to know. Well, we might have some information to share with you on that front. However, before we go into all of that, let’s talk about both shows and why Amazon Studios might be thinking of a crossover.

When it was revealed that the Top Gear trio were leaving the BBC and starting a new show on Amazon’s streaming platform, people wondered whether they could capture lightning in a bottle for a second time. Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond became worldwide names thanks to their time on Top Gear. After some controversy, the trio bid farewell to the Big British Castle (the BBC) and went on over to Jeff Bezos’ even bigger castle.

So, The Grand Tour became a worldwide success, and people still love watching the trio do silly and incredible things all over the world, and they tend to be in vehicles while on their travels. The move to Amazon turned out to be a masterstroke for each of the show’s presenters and Amazon Prime Video, which saw huge numbers on the streaming platform. James May got to start a new show called James May: Our Man in…which has gone on to have two seasons. One in which he went to Japan and another in which he travelled across Italy.

As for Richard Hammond, he got to make a new series with Amazon Prime Video called The Great Escapists. Then we have Jeremy Clarkson, who is arguably the most famous of The Grand Tour’s presenters. After the whole Top Gear fiasco, Clarkson went on to present Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and then came Clarkson’s Farm, which is now one of Amazon Prime Video’s most popular new shows. There is a second season on the horizon, and it’s been revealed that the series has been renewed for a third season, which is terrific news because Clarkson’s Farm is really something special.

So, we’ve been digging into what Amazon’s plans are for Clarkson’s Farm and The Grand Tour, and one of the questions we wanted to answer is whether there are plans to do a crossover of sorts. Now, by that, I do not mean the shows will intersect as The CW DC Comics shows did. No, I wanted to know whether either of The Grand Tour’s other two presents, Richard and James, might visit Jeremy’s farm in the upcoming seasons of Clarkson’s Farm.

Well, it looks like that idea has already been floated inside Amazon Studios. Here’s what one of our sources had to say on the matter:

Funnily enough, that’s an idea that’s been talked about. I think the show’s [Clarkson’s Farm] producers would love to have Richard or James, or both, turn up in an episode or two in the upcoming seasons.

We pressed the source for a bit more information. We wanted to know whether it would happen or not, and all they could say was that they “couldn’t give me a definite answer, but talks are happening, and ideas are brewing”.

I think the most likely thing that might happen is that Richard Hammond might turn up at the farm since he does have a background in farming and might want to see what Clarkson’s been up to.
