The movie industry and the gambling industry have been considered partners for several years now. Way back in the 1960s, Hollywood movies aided the gambling industries to rise and become globally legal. How did they do this?

The main reason is that Casino related movies and casino scenes in other movie genres became so popular that gambling became an activity that everyone was interested in.

In those days, gambling was still considered illegal, but after the public pressured the respective governments, Casinos started to be legalised from left to right.

Turn the clock back to today, the global casino scene is out off the roof. Some of the world’s most popular tourist destinations, like Las Vegas, are specifically known for having tons of casinos and gambling scenes. Besides all that, the online casino scene is also progressing and it is said that it could be the future of casinos. Because of this, these online gambling sites continue to give out bonuses and promotions that should not be missed. One should always learn more about promotional offers through reliable sources about free bets available to British punters since different providers can offer promotionally favourable for different kinds of players!

However, we are not here to talk about that. We are here to list the best casino scenes from a few British casino movies so let’s check them out.

Casino Royale is one of the James Bond movies starring Daniel Craig. Surprisingly enough, the casino scenes in this movie did not take place in the gambling capital Las Vegas, but in casinos in Montenegro.

James Bond is shown playing against Le Chiffre in order to force his hand and leave him with no option but to ask for asylum with the government of Great Britain in exchange for information.

Apart from the many iconic casino scenes in this movie, such a scene stands out because Le Chiffre poisons James Bond. This is considered the best scene in this movie because we are used to watching Bond dominating in all movie scenes but when the audience feels that he’s winning, he almost has a death experience. Overall, if you have not yet watched this movie, we recommend you give it a go if you are a fan of intense action-packed movies.

Snatch

Snatch is a movie created in 2000 starring Jason Statham, and this movie has many memorable scenes. However, if we had to choose one of the casino movie scenes, we will go with the one where the so-called two hustlers go to snatch all the money from a bookmaker. Sadly for them, they quickly learn that all the bets are off, and the bookmaker does not have any money. Besides all that, the cashier presses the notorious alarm button, and now both robbers are in a race against time to grab whatever they can and run.

Golden Eye

Even though Golden Eye is one of the older Bond movies, it does not feature Sean Connery as the main character. Since many people have mixed this game of baccarat with a blackjack table, we wanted to note that this scene takes place during a game of Baccarat.

Bond is up against Xenia, and during this scene, Bond’s only winning hand in the last round is two face cards. After the baccarat round is over, Bond and Xenia go to the bar and the special agent orders the infamous legendary Martini. Golden Eye is worth a watch as it produced tons of memorable movie moments that you may already have seen, even if you haven’t watched the movie.

Croupier

Our next casino movie is called Croupier which was released in 1998, which includes several casino scenes and features many casino games.

This film tells the tale of a writer who decides to partake in a new experience, go to the casino floor and start working as a croupier. As a writer, he quickly realizes that he can write a decent story from the events at every casino table, including his.

The best casino scene in this movie is where a gambler comes in to place a late bet in the game, in the hopes of cheating and winning money, but the Croupier manages to notice this late bet.

The writer does not back down from his claim that he saw the man place a late bet in order to win easy money, and the casino security gets involved. The situation progresses forward, and a few other memorable gambling scenes appear as a result of this situation.

Lock, Stock, and Two-Smoking Barrels

The last movie scene in this list is from the movie Lock, Stock, and Two-Smoking Barrels. This is yet another movie released in 1998. Our favorite scene in this movie is called ‘An Awkward Position’.

The main plot in this scene does not occur in Las Vegas’s casinos but rather in a boxing ring. As two players constantly keep on raising in a game of poker and have their eyes glued to one another, the older player raises a massive bet that the younger player decides not to hesitate to follow, thinking that he can win the poker round.

But that is not the case in this gambling scene as the younger player loses, and the camera effects and music perfectly sum up the tension and emotions running at that particular moment. You can say it depicts the emotions running through your body in such a time of disappointment and financial loss.
